In a recent HBR article, M. Buckingham and A. Goodall outlined the findings of their ADP Research Institute 2019 study, that measured the levels of engagement of workers across the globe, to identify the factors most likely to attract and retain them.
They found out that teams are the best target element to achieve higher engagement. When study respondents reported doing most of their work on a team, they were more than twice as likely to be fully engaged as those who said they did most of their work alone.
