Job description

Our client is looking for a strategic, passionate, and confident leader to join their team as the 

Information and Communication Technology Division Director (IT).


The role owner will join the group to provide leadership and oversee the execution of the group’s IT strategy and deliverables aligned to the overarching IT and business strategy (Group Position B-1). Deep understanding and experience in financial information and communication technology and team management are required (including processes and products). Engagement with various stakeholders is vital for the role to ensure consistent application and implementation of the Information.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership and oversight by setting the direction and implementing the group IT strategy aligned to the overarching IT and business strategy
  • Management of the ICT division with four (4) divisions:

§business analysis and technology,

§application development, 

§system infrastructure,

§data warehouse (DW)

  • Planning, organizing, and supervising the department's work and activities
  • Oversight of the maintenance of IT infrastructure operations
  • Leading complex projects at the level of a financial group
  • Developing and implementing digital strategies to enhance market share and business processes
  • Improvement of internal processes and business organization
  • Collaboration with various departments and employees to implement changes and optimize operations
  • Management of the budget and resources for digital transformation and business organization.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education:                Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or its equivalent (VII. level)

Languages:               Slovene and proficiency in English (written and verbal), Serbian is considered to be an advantage

IT skills:                     Standard and specialized PC tools

 

Professional background & experience:     

  •  +3 years of managerial and leadership experience in the specific area of expertise
  • +5 years of experience in the field of information technology
  •  IT in the financial industry; knowledge of financial products is an advantage.


Key Skills and Experiences:

Understanding trends and technologies in the financial industry:

  •  knowledge of MS server software (MS Server, Exchange) and 
  •  IT architecture (network equipment, hardware and software, monitoring applications)
  • knowledge of SQL and data warehouses
  • managing infrastructure with remote data centers
  •  knowledge of IT security standards
  • experience with Oracle
  • knowledge of principles and techniques for managing IT projects
  • knowledge of regulatory reporting in the financial industry
  • active user of MS Office tools.

The employment will be a full-time job for unlimited time, with a 6-month probation period.
